The student will develop, test, characterise and optimize drug formulations and combine these results with in-vitro and in-vivo drug release and pharmacokinetic studies. The student will be based within the Chemical Engineering Department at Loughborough University, Loughborough while regularly using the laboratory facilities within the industrial partner, also based in Loughborough. The student will be expected to build on the established relationship between the industrial partner and the Loughborough University and, take a leading role in other academic activities (e.g., writing peer reviewed journal papers, attend conference) in consultation/agreement with the supervisors of this project.
